Distance Learning Assignments *Please keep in mind that I am checking for your understanding of multiplying fractions. I will use this as a “check-in grade.” We are not taking “grades” at this point, but we are monitoring progress of grade level standards. We did have lessons on multiplying fractions before we left. *Also this is the first time I have created a “test” on Mobymax so I am hoping this works! (fingers crossed) Mathematics: Multiplying Fractions Must Do Logon to Mobymax.com Username & password: Cobb county/ school # (lunch number) Click on the assignments icon: -the “Multiplying Fractions” test should be the first one listed, if not, scroll down to find it -there are 20 questions to complete Science & ELA Please submit your final draft of the Scientist Narrative writing via O365. *If you already completed this writing, you can submit your Chemical and Physical written responses from Monday and Tuesday using text evidence from the passages. These are the two assignments I will monitor your progress in Math, Science and Writing this week. This is also how I am taking “attendance.” I am so proud of all that you have accomplished this week! Love, Mrs. B

Distance Learning Assignments *After our Q & A yesterday and hearing everyone’s feedback I have reevaluated the amount of assignment and work. Below you will find the “Must Do” assignments for this week and all others are “Can Do” assignments to enrich and extend learning for students who need the extra challenge and those students who WANT 😊 the extra challenge. *Please know that we do not want you all working ALL day! The expectation is for all students to work for 2 hours total for all subjects. If you would like to work a little more that is great but please do not work all day. Go outside, find creative activities, spend time with family and/or work on a hobby. Check out the Specials teacher’s blogs for ideas! Hello Fabulous Fifth Grade Families,
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I hope your first day of distance learning was a success! I sure did miss seeing all of the students smiling faces yesterday. At our house we are focusing on the silver lining…for me that is the slower pace and the family time we get to share. Sometimes life just gets too hectic! We are all trying to find our new normal right now. As I’m sure you all are as well. I will continue to email and post the daily lessons on dojo and my blog. With so much traffic on the web right now I feel this is a good balance. I am gearing up for some videos of myself…yikes!!! Also, I hope to have a skype meeting tomorrow at 10 a.m. for those of you who can join. I will send an invitation to your child via email. Please let me know if you have any questions.
